The seller country changes tax labels, the starting tax rate, currency and date formatting; the customer country only changes the customer's tax-ID label. Neither decides the legal or tax treatment of a sale.
- Use “Tax Invoice” only when the document and sale meet the applicable GST requirements.
- GST-registered sellers generally identify the supplier, ABN, issue date, supplied items and GST treatment.
- Higher-value tax invoices can require buyer identification.
